A contemporary garden designed for a family

The clients, a design and environmentally conscious couple with young children, wanted a contemporary family garden.  Space is needed for entertaining, play and growing fruit and vegetables.  The garden is grown using organic principles and there is space for composting.  The spaces will continue to support the family's needs as the children grow.
A large contemporary country garden

The stunning modern interior needed a garden to match.  Strong structural elements are softened by lush layers of planting that catch the breeze, providing colour and texture to give all year round interest.  Beautiful Purbeck stone is used creatively to enhance the spaces and continue the connection to the surrouding landscape.
A garden designed for entertaining

Space to relax in at the end of a long day's work and to entertain at weekends.  The garden sits harmoniously in its New Forest setting.
Space for a marquee for parties.  A large terrace for comfortable dining is connected to further seating by a series of steps making the most of the incline.  The pergola reduces the dominance of the high boundary and continues the journey within the garden, encouraging exploration.
Garden for the Woodstock generation

Clever use of space and angles ensures that this small narrow garden feels spacious.  Fabulous views are created within the garden, leading the eye away from the dominant fence.  Spaces for compost bins, greenhouse, storage, fruit and vegetables - every inch of space used yet the garden feels spacious.  Great garden design details ensure this garden continues to excel.
A modern family garden

Careful selection of materials and design details have created a contemporary space that satisfies all the needs of the family and looks fabulous.
Problems of a cold north facing garden are solved by careful postioning of the terrace. The grown up area of the garden is separated from the playspace by a screen of tough shrubs, grasses and perennials. A greenhouse and raised bed area provide space for growing fruit and vegetables.
A peaceful retreat

An award winning show garden.  A garden in its own right or a perfect addition to the corner of a larger garden. The space created  feels calm, for sitting alone and reflecting or quiet talking with friends.  Wildlife friendly planting attracts bees and butterflies.  Use of the garden is extended into cooler evenings with a firepit. Space within the drystone wall seat provides storage for wood, providing invaluable habitats for insects in the winter.
