Project Description

This garden is enclosed by farmers fields and the prairie style planting and use of wildflower and pictorial meadows connects the property with its rural landscape.

The two terraces are positioned to make the most of the light at different times of the day and use of the garden. The sunken sofa terrace catches the midday sun throughout the year presenting a beautiful space to look out over the garden to the fields.  The dining deck and outdoor kitchen have been positioned to catch the last of the evening sun.

The main terrace planting has a focus reaching from early summer through to autumn.

Wildflower meadow stretches around the field boundary providing delightful views from early spring through to the summer. Late summer the seed heads catch the light and provide a larder for birds and insects.

Pictorial meadow has been planted below an establishing orchard to continue the seasons of interest.
