Project Description

.
The garden is inspired by the patterns of the Yorkshire landscape with its iconic drystone walls and rolling countryside of pastures and meadows, contrasted with a curving water feature running through the garden. The naturalistic end of the garden emulates the local landscape sculpted by the natural elements and the other end is more reminiscent of the traditional gardens of Yorkshire, full of fragrant plants combined in a contemporary style with grasses and shrubs.

Scent is a key element in any garden, adding an exciting further dimension and we used a number of fragrant trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials to provide scent over a number of seasons – much as you would in a ‘real’ garden.

We have used a mixture of shrubs and trees to  give structure to the garden but which also show just how easy it is to provide fragrance to the garden throughout the year.
