| Initial Consultation |
This involves a site visit and a meeting to discuss your requirements. A proposal for all design work to be carried out is then sent to you, together with a fee proposal for at least the initial stages of the work.

Site
Survey |
Once we have agreed a proposal of work, the next stage is to complete a full site survey in which accurate scale plans are drawn up. This plan is used as a basis for the proposed design and shows the house, boundaries, existing features and levels. This is usually carried out by ourselves, however for larger or more complex sites a land surveyor is used. |

Working Drawings |
These are necessary to allow a contractor to quote for construction. This allows fair price comparisons to be made. It also ensures that you have the garden built that you expect. Drawings include hard landscape plans, setting out plans, specifications and detailed designs such as walls, paving and decks. These may also include specialist plans such as water features and lighting. |
| Outline Plan |
An outline plan is drawn up showing the proposed design. Other plans such as presentation plans and perspectives may also produced to help you visualise your new garden. This allows us to present our ideas for your garden. We can then talk through any changes that you may wish to make. This plan may then be used as a master plan for further detailed design work and for project management of the build.

Planting Plan |
This plan shows all existing and new plants. It gives the exact location of each plant. This also includes a list of all new plants, sizes and quantities. This plan is used for planting the garden, as well as costing and ordering the plants. We can source, supply and set out all plants, and complete all plantings. |
Costs
|
We can provide a cost estimate for work. Once we have agreed a schedule of works we will provide an exact fee. Fees are usually quoted as a lump sum for each stage of work. In some circumstances an hourly rate is more appropriate, in which case this is made clear in our fee proposal.
